Tottenham Hotspur and France captain Hugo Lloris has stepped away from the France squad for their upcoming internationals.

Lloris has withdrawn from selection for their upcoming matches against Austria and Denmark in the UEFA Nations League.

According to the Daily Mail, the shot stopper has a thigh injury that he sustained during Spurs' 6-2 win over Leicester City in the Premier League at the weekend.

FC Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont has received a call-up from French boss Didier Deschamps.

Lloris is not thought to have a serious injury, with club coach Antonio Conte expecting him to be fit when they next play after the international break.

AC Milan star Theo Hernandez is another withdrawal from the France squad.
