Eberechi Eze timed his return to the Arsenal scoresheet to perfection with two goals in a 4–1 derby rout of Tottenham Hotspur that calmed his side’s Premier League title nerves on Sunday.
The forward had not scored since a hat-trick in the reverse fixture in November but struck in each half, while Viktor Gyökeres also netted twice as Arsenal F.C. moved five points clear of second-placed Manchester City F.C..
Eze, who almost signed for Tottenham last August, volleyed in a 32nd-minute opener, only for Randal Kolo Muani to equalise two minutes later after a mistake by Declan Rice.
Gyökeres restored Arsenal’s lead shortly after the interval with a sublime curler, and Eze’s second — a tap-in — gave his side breathing space. Gyökeres then capped a fine display with his second goal, sealing the deal in stoppage time.
Victory lifted Arsenal to 61 points from 28 games, with City — who have played one game fewer — on 56. Tottenham, for whom new manager Igor Tudor was in charge for the first time, remain in 16th place, only four points above the relegation zone.

Tudor: Spurs 'are a good group with bad habits'

“Now I saw the truth. It's nice. But it is how it is. Tuesday in training, everybody quiet, humble and start to work seriously.
On whether he is confident Spurs will avoid relegation, he added: “Of course I am confident. These are players who are a good group with bad habits.
“Nobody can tell me we don't have quality. But we need to change, a mental switch and have this mental sharpness to be in the game from first and second minutes.
“And have the physicality. One or two players did not have good moments, but today it can happen. Too many players had problems. That's the result,” he added.

"It's good to show and see this kind of team [like Arsenal], to show us where we need to be. It shows work and hard, because we struggle in a lot of things. Psychologically we need to come out of this moment, the only way is work. Stay quiet, stay humble. And look in the future day by day, growing and growing day by day and week. It's too strong in this moment,” he added.
Gyokeres: 'We showed much better things'

On his first goal, he adds: "We do that move a few times in training. I watched his [Eze's] goals against them last time and tried to replicate it a little bit. It's a nice goal."
Van de Ven: 'Arsenal were the better team'

"It's a risk when you go man for man and if one man is late then you're going to be open but when you win the ball high, there are so many options for us. But on the opposite, when they come out, it's a big risk."
On Igor Tudor, he adds: "He is on us all week. Every day we worked on it. It's his first week and he wants to help us in every way. We have all week to prepare for Fulham.
"We need to win the games. Step by step. We play Fulham now,” he added as he finished.
