Tragedy struck on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway today as a tour bus skidded off the road and overturned. The incident occurred at Kilometer 51.4, near the Lentang Rest Area, according to statements from Zulfadli Zakaria, the Public Relations Officer of the Pahang Fire and Rescue Department.
Initial reports suggest that the bus, carrying 16 passengers including the driver, was en route from Kuala Lumpur to Karak when the accident transpired. Upon receiving the distress call at 7:53 AM, 18 members of the Bentong Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene shortly after.
Upon arrival, responders found the overturned bus near a winding stretch of the highway. Operations Commander reported that among the 16 individuals onboard, four were foreigners and one was trapped inside the wreckage.

Regrettably, the accident claimed the lives of two individuals, while 14 others sustained injuries. Both fatalities were confirmed at the scene, and their bodies were handed over to the police for further procedures. All injured victims were promptly transported to Bentong Hospital for medical treatment.
