KUALA LUMPUR - Tourism Malaysia is committed to ensuring continuous improvements in future programme organisation as part of efforts to elevate the nation’s cultural heritage through the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.
In a statement on Thursday, the agency said it appreciated and took note of the various feedback and suggestions from the public regarding the staging of Citrawarna 2026 at Dataran Merdeka here recently.
"The feedback received included audience seating arrangements and viewing angles, programme scheduling accuracy, the use of technology, and creative content in certain performances.
"Additionally, there were suggestions for greater involvement of local composers, musicians and creative talents in producing performance content in the future. Any other matters raised will be reviewed and appropriate follow-up action will be taken,” it said.
At the same time, Tourism Malaysia expressed its appreciation to the public for the enthusiastic reception to the programme, which made a comeback after six years.
It said the three-day programme brought together more than 3,500 dancers and arts practitioners from across the country, representing various ethnicities through Citra Perarakan, Citra Rasa, Citra Budaya and Citra Seni activities.
"This achievement was made possible through the dedication of thousands of dancers, production crews, volunteers, technical teams, security personnel, logistics teams and stage management crews. Tourism Malaysia is deeply grateful for their sacrifices and commitment,” it said. - BERNAMA
