Kota Kinabalu: The Persatuan Pentas Anak Seni Malaysia (PPASM) will hold Pesta Seni “Tradition In Tune” 2025 at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here on Aug 29 - Aug 31 this year.

Coinciding with Sabah Day and Merdeka Day celebrations, this festival is set to position Sabah as the beating heart of culture, creativity and tourism.

PPASM Chairman Jawed Khan said “Tradition In Tune” reflects the vision of keeping Sabah’s cultural heritage and traditions alive, relevant and in harmony for generations to come.

He said across three days, visitors will experience a rich programme of performances, showcases and interactive events, including Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, a-first-of-its-kind spectacle taking place on Aug 30 and 31 at SICC; Miss Universe Malaysia National Costume Competition, presenting Malaysia’s most creative fashion talents with designs inspired by heritage and tradition; and heritage exhibitions, cultural workshops and cutting-edge digital art showcases on Aug 29 to 31.

“This festival is more than an event – it is a living legacy. By keeping our traditions in tune with modern times, we are creating a platform that unites people, inspires the youth and positions Sabah as a must-visit destination where culture meets innovation,” said Jawed in a statement, Wednesday.
