The summer transfer window is ramping up as Premier League clubs look to add to their squads.
Arsenal are looking to beat Tottenham to Eberechi Eze and reports say they have a clean run at signing the Crystal Palace star – but they want to pay below his release clause. The Gunners continue to be linked with Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres, and it appears the latter is now pushing for a move to London. In the meantime, Arsenal have planned a medical for incoming Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard and agreed to pay above the release fee for Martin Zubimendi.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have secured Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5m and are negotiating with Brentford about Bryan Mbeumo, having submitted an improved offer. Sporting’s Gyokeres is also on their list of potential additions, while Ollie Watkins has latterly emerged as a target.
Florian Wirtz is now officially a Liverpool player after agreeing a record £116.5m deal for the German superstar, while Reds defender Jarell Quansah is set to go the other way in a £35m deal to join Bayer Leverkusen. Marc Guehi is on their wishlist to join from Crystal Palace with Alexander Isak a rumoured target.
Chelsea are set to sign Jamie Gittens after Borussia Dortmund accepted an offer of £55m for the former England Under-21s winger, who will have a medical, while the Blues have confirmed to signing of Brighton’s Brazil forward Joao Pedro.

West Ham’s pursuit of El Hadji Malick Diouf has suffered a blow after Slavia Prague turned down an offer of around £15m for the Senegal international, according to Fabrizio Romano. Harry Latham-Coyle
With the future of Rasmus Hojlund far from certain, and Viktor Gyokeres potentially pricey, Manchester United have made Ollie Watkins a transfer target, according to The Athletic. The Aston Villa striker showcased his goalscoring prowess last season even while bouncing in and out of Unai Emery’s starting side - and the club will surely not part with the England international for a small sum.

Burnley have added France Under-21 winger Loum Tchaouna from Lazio as they look to stay in the top flight next season. Born in Chad, Tchaouna was part of France’s squad at the recent age-group Euros and featured 24 times in Serie A last season.
"I spoke with the manager during the Euros this summer and we had a really good conversation, which made me realise I wanted to be here," said Tchaouna after linking up with Scott Parker, clearly a persuasive fella.

Brentford chief provides update on Bryan Mbeumo future

,
Harry Latham-Coyle
Brentford director of football Phil Giles has said that it is “not impossible” that Bryan Mbeumo yet remains at the club this summer despite strong interest from Manchester United. Two bids have been rejected for the forward, and Giles has told the BBC that little progress had been made on a deal.
"He had a fantastic season," Giles said. "We expected big interest in him, we have had big interest in him.
"He has his ideas about where he wants to take his career. He is well within his rights to do that.
"It is not impossible he is still a Brentford player next season if we agree he is going to stay."

It is 14 years now since Scott Parker left West Ham for Tottenham in the last direct dealing between the two rival London clubs - but if The Telegraph are to be believed, there could yet be another player skirting northward around the city. Mohammed Kudus is said to be a top target for Thomas Frank as he seeks to add attacking talent to his squad after a blow in their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo.

The logic behind Man United’s recruitment that could solve their goalscoring crisis
14:15
,
Richard Jolly
Manchester United were not merely outscored by 15 other clubs in the Premier League last season. They were outscored – as a team, and amassing the combined efforts of the 31 players who took the field in the division for them, plus the two opponents who donated own goals – by a trio who could have formed their new front three.
United got 44 goals. Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Liam Delap got 47 between them. Cunha has already joined United. Delap definitely won’t; they always thought Chelsea was a likelier destination and so it proved. But if the much-coveted Delap’s preference was for Stamford Bridge, Mbeumo, who has a similarly large group of admirers, has his heart set on Old Trafford. A second bid of around £60m has been rejected, but Mbeumo could join Cunha in a forward line Ruben Amorim has acquired more than inherited.

Arsenal have completed the permanent signing of England international Chloe Kelly after a successful loan spell last season.
The Gunners have confirmed that the 27-year-old, who is currently on Euro 2025 duty with the Lionesses, has returned to the club at which she spent eight years earlier in her career "subject to the completion of regulatory processes" following the expiration of her deal at Manchester City.
Kelly, who it is understood has agreed a three-year deal, made 13 appearances under head coach Renee Slegers last season after joining on loan in January and picked up a Champions League winners' medal after victory over Barcelona in Lisbon.
Kelly said: "Putting pen to paper on a permanent contract at Arsenal is a standout moment for me. Learning from an incredible manager and continuing to build relationships with an excellent team is a journey I'm looking forward to continuing.
"I'm excited for more silverware at this special club and to bring more trophies back to north London to celebrate with our supporters.
"I've always said that Arsenal supporters are the best and to have them on my side singing my name means so much to me."

Any deal is still some way off, due to the extent of interest, with Lyon hoping to drive the price up.

Could bids yet still come for the Ghanaian? Of course, but the club’s position is now far stronger.
