Travis Scott and IShowSpeed turned Brazil’s 2026 World Cup opener into a viral sideshow after an impromptu race inside the stadium.

The pair crossed paths during Brazil vs Morocco at New York New Jersey Stadium, where one of the tournament’s biggest early fixtures already had plenty of attention.

Then Speed and Scott added their own contest, giving fans another clip to argue about before the night was over.

Travis Scott beats IShowSpeed in World Cup stadium race

As SKB posted, Travis Scott was shown beating IShowSpeed in a short race during the World Cup festivities.

Speed, never likely to accept defeat quietly, fired back afterward: “He’s a cheater man.”

The clip looked like a quick, informal stadium sprint. Reports around the video described it as a lighthearted race after the rapper and streamer linked up at Brazil vs Morocco.

Speed has built part of his online persona around racing athletes, celebrities, and friends, so seeing Scott appear to beat him was enough to make the moment travel fast across social media.

The joke also carried history. Speed and Scott had raced before in 2024, when older clips showed Speed claiming victory. This time, the internet ran with Scott getting his own win back.

Brazil World Cup opener ends level against Morocco

The actual game had its own drama.

Brazil opened their 2026 World Cup campaign against Morocco at New York New Jersey Stadium, also known as MetLife Stadium, in one of the first major matches hosted in the NY/NJ area.

Morocco struck first through Ismael Saibari, putting pressure on Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil and briefly silencing a crowd packed with yellow shirts.

Vinícius Júnior then equalized for Brazil in the first half, rescuing a 1-1 draw and making sure the five-time champions did not begin the tournament with a defeat.

The result left both teams with one point in Group C. For Brazil, it was a reminder that reputation alone will not carry them through this World Cup.

For Speed, the night delivered another viral sports moment. Even when he loses the race, he still wins the internet.
