
Kota Kinabalu: An excavator operator was jailed six months on Thursday for trespassing into a storeroom.
Kenneth David, 36, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie to sneaking into a storeroom occupied by Razpar Yasir next to the washroom on the first floor of the Centre Point Sabah Mall here at 10.30am on Oct 8.
The charge under Section 448 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to three years or fine or both, on conviction.
The court was informed by the prosecution that the complainant found Kenneth inside the room which was found cluttered.

He was apprehended and handed to the police.
In another case, a woman was fined RM800 or one week jail for having gambling paraphernalia.
Alviera Cestiel, 30, admitted to purchasing five illegal lottery tickets at 5.30pm on Aug 26 outside a coffee shop in Donggongon, Penampang.
She was charged under Section 9(1) of the Common Gaming House Act which carries a jail term of up to six months, or fine of up to RM3,000, or both, on conviction.
Alviera through a duty counsel requested a lower fine as she was supporting her five siblings.
The court ordered the RM70 cash seized from Alviera to be forfeited by the government.
Meanwhile, an unemployed man was charged with trespassing into someone’s house. William Richard pleaded not guilty to committing the offence at a house at Taman Donggongon, Jalan Papar at 2.30am on Oct 15.
The charge was framed under Section 447 of the Penal Code. In applying for another mention date, the prosecution proposed bail at RM5,000 in two sureties.
The court set Nov 7 for case management and released the accused on a bail of RM2,000 in two sureties. Inspector Suzie @ Stephanie Kupit prosecuted.
