- Scottish musician Neil Henderson, a former guitarist for both the Bay City Rollers and Middle Of The Road, has died at the age of 73 after a period of ill health.
- His former Middle Of The Road bandmates announced his passing on Facebook, paying tribute to their original lead guitarist and confirming he had been recovering from a stroke suffered a few years ago.
- Henderson joined the Bay City Rollers in 1970 for a two-year period, performing on Keep On Dancing, which became the Scottish pop rock group's debut chart single.
- He left the Bay City Rollers shortly before the 1974 release of their UK chart-topping debut album Rollin' and subsequently joined Middle Of The Road, known for their number one hit Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep.
- Bandmates and fans have paid tribute to his musical legacy as a guitarist and songwriter, and he is survived by his two daughters, Heather and Shona.
