WWE are gearing up for their upcoming PLE Clash in Italy, with events from Friday night’s SmackDown leading to Triple H confirming a new match for the event.
Before May 22, only two matches had been listed for the show, which is set to take place on May 31.
Cody Rhodes is facing off with Gunther in an Undisputed WWE Title match, while Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu are competing for the World Heavyweight Title.
Now, Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill are officially going to clash for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Rhea Ripley vs Jade Cargill announced for WWE Clash in Italy
Ripley opened the latest episode of SmackDown and hinted at a title match with Cargill.
She was then interrupted by Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss before Fatal Influence came out to set up a tag match later in the show.
Ripley and Flair came out on top, but Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin then showed up to attack the victors.
Amid the feud heating up on SmackDown, Triple H has now taken to X/Twitter to make the meeting between Rhea and Jade official.
He wrote: “Different styles. Different personalities. Same goal: Be the most dominant Superstar in the Women’s division.
“It’s official: Rhea Ripley defends the @WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill at #WWEClash in Italy!”
The fourth match that may be made for Clash in Italy
Alongside Ripley and Cargill, WWE seem likely to make another match official on RAW next week.
After ‘retiring’ at WrestleMania 42, Brock Lesnar made a shocking return on May 18 to hit Oba Femi with an F5.
Oba previously defeated and seemingly ended the career of Lesnar at the Showcase of the Immortals, but a rematch now appears to be building for the PLE at the end of the month.
What the future holds for Lesnar beyond his feud with Oba Femi is still a mystery, and it will be interesting to see if, now that he has returned, we finally see Brock face off with Gunther at some point.
