
Meet Lhakpa Sherpa, who at the age of 52 has once again made history. Known as the ‘Mountain Queen,’ she summited Mount Everest for the 11th time. And by doing so, she has extended her own record for the most successful ascents of the world’s highest peak by a woman.
According to the Department of Tourism, she reached the summit at 9:30 am on May 17.
Born in a small Nepal village, Lhakpa Sherpa had limIn 2000, she reached the summit of Mount Everest for the first timeited opportunities and faced significant challenges. In 2000, she reached the summit of Mount Everest for the first time and has now done it 11 times.

Later on, Lhakpa moved to the US, where she worked to support her family while continuing her mountaineering pursuits.
Her life hasn’t been easy. Despite personal struggles, including domestic abuse and financial challenges, she never gave up on her goals.
