A Malaysian uncle has taken Merdeka spirit to a whole new level — by decorating his entire motorbike (and even his helmet) with countless Jalur Gemilang and Pahang state flags.
The patriotic sight was shared by TikTok user @qill_masaki, instantly going viral with thousands praising his dedication.
Spotted while singing Inilah Barisan Kita
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, the OP said the moment happened on Monday (July 28) at the Bukit Sekilau Health Clinic in Kuantan.
I was waiting for my mother and younger sibling to see the doctor when I saw a Chinese uncle riding around looking for a parking spot while fluently singing Inilah Barisan Kita,” the OP recalled.
He added that the uncle’s cheerful energy and unique presence immediately caught her attention, prompting her to start recording.
Known as “Uncle Lee” to some locals
While the OP doesn’t personally know him, he noticed comments from netizens saying he’s affectionately called Mr Lee or Uncle Lee.
Some also shared that they’ve seen him frequently riding his decorated motorbike around Kuantan, especially near the UTC building.
With Merdeka just weeks away, it seems Uncle Lee is already flying the flag — literally — for patriotism.
