  • President Donald Trump has shown support for his “close friend” Tiger Woods after he was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a rollover crash in Florida.
  • Woods, 50, crashed his Land Rover Friday after clipping a machinery truck but emerged uninjured, as did the other driver. He passed a breathalyzer test but refused a urine sample, with authorities suspecting impairment by medication.
  • This is Woods' third major crash and his second DUI arrest, having previously been taken into custody for DUI in 2017 and involved in a serious rollover crash in California in 2021.
  • Trump said he "feels so badly" for Woods, who was released from Martin County Jail shortly before midnight.
  • “He’s got some difficulty,” Trump said. “There was an accident and that’s all I know. He’s a very close friend of mine, he’s an amazing person, an amazing man. Some difficulty, I don’t want to talk about it.”
