US President Donald Trump has once again suggested changing the name of a major body of water, this time floating the idea of renaming the Atlantic Ocean the “American Ocean”.
Speaking at a rally ahead of the US midterm elections, Trump joked that he had considered renaming either the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean.
Trump said he had discussed the idea with Google CEO Sundar Pichai, whom he described as “a great guy”, but claimed the tech executive was reluctant to go along with the proposal.
Trump then joked about how European leaders, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, might react to such a change.
