UFC is bringing cage-match fighting to the White House lawn, marking the first time that a professional sporting event has been staged at the presidential residence.

An AI-generated advert was released by the UFC on Sunday, 12 April, ahead of the event, which will take place on Donald Trump’s 80th birthday on 14 June.

Crews are set to build a six-foot wire-mesh octagon on the South Lawn, where top fighters will showcase mixed martial arts skills from kickboxing and jiu-jitsu to wrestling.

The UFC Freedom 250 event, endorsed by the president, is also being billed as part of America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
