WASHINGTON - United States (US) President Donald Trump said on Monday that from now on, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be recognising only 11 essential vaccinations instead of 72 commonly recommended, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

"My administration is recognising gold standard childhood vaccine recommendations for only 11 core vaccinations against the most serious and dangerous diseases,” Trump said during a signing ceremony.

In particular, vaccinations for hepatitis B, Covid-19, and influenza are no longer recommended for all children, the president added.

Today's executive order aims at reducing the amount of vaccines US children receive and spacing them out in time. - BERNAMA
