Brighton signing Alexis Mac Allister is making big strides in Argentina.
Currently on-loan with at Boca Juniors, the attacking midfielder made his first start for his country as they beat Mexico 4-0 in a friendly this week.
Friendly appearances for Argentina will not directly help Mac Allister secure a work permit for the UK.
But they are a step towards making the team for competitive fixtures.
International status also increases his value on the transfer market.

The Argentina national team isn't for just anybody.
