For one evening, Kuala Lumpur had its own alpine escape. On 4 September, TUMI welcomed guests to its Alpine Chalet pop-up at The Gardens Mall to preview its Fall/Winter 2026 collection. Inspired by the quiet strength of the Alps, the space brought together warm timber finishes, snow-inspired landscapes and chalet-style details, offering a welcome change of pace from the city outside.
The evening brought together 150 guests, including Amelia Henderson, May Ho, Han Pin Ma, Iyzdham Ang Kim Hwa and Brian See. Guests explored TUMI’s latest pieces while moving through an immersive chalet-inspired setting, with dark timber interiors, soft faux-fur accents and warm lighting creating the atmosphere of a modern mountain hideaway. A live illustration counter offered the chance to personalise a TUMI card case, while a Ski Gondola-inspired roving photo booth and a DJ set by Ashley Lau brought a more playful energy to the experience.
The collection itself takes cues from the Alps, but its purpose is firmly rooted in everyday life. Drawing on open skies, tactile terrain, autumnal change and alpine paths, Fall/Winter 2026 introduces a seasonal palette of deep greens, glacial blues, slate greys, warm timber tones and snowdrift whites. Rich leathers, layered fabrics and technical textiles bring together outdoor resilience and a more refined, indoor sensibility.
A piece for every occasion

In the bustle of the pop-up, we caught up with Iyzdham. Whose own schedule is a little less retreat and a little more on the move. Between events, meetings, shoots and frequent travel, his week rarely stays in one setting. “I’m always going from one place to another, so I need pieces that can keep up without making things feel complicated,” he says.
What drew Iyzdham’s attention was the TUMI Harrison Winsor Crossbody’s streamlined design and practicality. With its dual-compartment organisation, quick-access functionality and adjustable crossbody styling, the bag keeps everyday essentials within easy reach. Its lightweight nylon construction also makes it a practical option for moving between the city and the airport.
That sense of practicality runs through TUMI’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, which takes its inspiration from the Alps without feeling confined to the outdoors.
Pieces for every part of the day

Among TUMI’s familiar names, Alpha returns with a seasonal update that stays true to its performance-driven character.
The collection’s signature FXT® Ballistic Nylon construction appears in Deep Pine with the shade reminiscent of the rich greenery of the mountains and bringing a seasonal touch to its utilitarian design.
Known for its durable construction and travel-ready functionality, Alpha feels particularly suited to those whose itineraries rarely go exactly to plan.

Harrison takes a more polished approach, with clean silhouettes and refined leather detailing giving the collection a sleek, understated quality. The Bradner Backpack adds a little more texture with its dimensional woven leather front panel, while practical touches like the quick-access back pocket keep the design grounded in everyday use.
Iyzdham’s pick, the Harrison Winsor Crossbody, captures this balance with its streamlined shape and pared-back finish, making it an easy addition to both sharper weekday looks and more relaxed dressing.

Voyageur offers a lighter approach to everyday style in Alpine Green, Black/Gold and Rosewood. The streamlined nylon silhouettes keep the collection feeling relaxed and contemporary, while details such as leather shoulder straps and feet add a more polished finish to the otherwise lightweight designs.

The Q Tote is a particularly easy everyday piece, with its clean shape and generous proportions making it just as suited to a day in the city as it is to a weekend away.
Together, the three collections reflect how travel has evolved beyond simply getting from one destination to another. Today, it’s about moving between work, social plans, travel and everything in between, with pieces that can adapt along the way.
Step into the Alpine Chalet

For those looking to experience the collection for themselves, TUMI’s Alpine Chalet pop-up at The Gardens Mall offers more than a preview of the season’s latest pieces.

Visitors can explore the chalet-inspired space, personalise a TUMI card case at the live illustration counter and capture the experience at the ski gondola-inspired photo booth.
The TUMI Alpine Chalet pop-up is open until 1 November 2026 at The Gardens Mall.
