SHAH ALAM - Former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin passed away this morning, at the age of 86.
Daim's lawyer Datuk Gurdial Singh Nijar confirmed his death when contacted.
"Yes, he has passed away. I was informed that he passed away this morning," he told Sinar Daily when contacted.
Daim, whose real name is Che Abdul Daim Zainuddin, served as Finance Minister from 1984 to 1991 and held the position again from 1999 to 2001.
