AMONG top Opposition leaders expected at the 'Turun Anwar' rally today include Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.
The crowd in front of Sogo, which gathered since 9.30am, has started to swell and police have deployed drones to monitor the situation at the PAS-led rally.
Most of the participants were seen dressed in all black and policemen have been stationed at several locations to ensure public safety and order.
According to the organisers, PAS Youth, 300,000 participants are expected today, but police estimates put it at 10,000 to 15,000.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) enforcement officers dismantled the main stage for the rally at Dataran Merdeka at about 11.20am today.

According to an enforcement officer on duty, the structure was removed on instructions from the police and was to be relocated to Masjid Negara.
Earlier, the Attorney-General's Chambers (A-GC) advised civil servants not to join the Pas-led rally.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar said civil servants should set a good example for the country.
"As stated in our previous statement, civil servants are advised not to take part in the rally as it violates the code of conduct and discipline required of civil servants.
"However, for those who do take part, it is up to their respective department heads to take action," he said.
Chants of “Hidup Rakyat” and “Turun Anwar” were heard from Sogo and Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, while protestors were informed that they will start marching to Datara Merdeka at 1pm. - July 26, 2025
