Former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been appointed as an "unofficial advisor" to the four Perikatan Nasional controlled state governments, according to Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar. The Menteri Besar of Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, and Perlis will be coming together to form a strategic alliance known as the "State Government 4" or “SG4.”
