KOTA BHARU - Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for the first time visited the family of former Kelantan Menteri Besar (MB), the late Tan Sri Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat or better known as Tok Guru Nik Aziz at his residence in Pulau Melaka, yesterday.
The presence of the former Langkawi MP was welcomed by Aziz's family members including his son former Bachok MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abduh Aziz.
Dr Mahathir was reported to have spent time to catch up with the family before leaving for a closed meeting with Perikatan Nasional (PN) leaders including Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the Kelantan MB's official residence at around 5.30pm.
Dr Mahathir's visit to Kelantan was in conjunction with the Kelantan Rakyat Munajat, Ppakat Pertahan and Leaders Mandate programme at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, last night.
