For Malaysian Muslims, performing the Hajj or Umrah is an important and treasured experience. Tune Talk wants to help these Malaysian going on a pilgrimage by making it easer for them to stay connected while in Saudi Arabia, by offering complimentary E-Roaming.
As part of their way to support its users, all eligible Tune Talk subscribers—including those on plans that don’t usually come with their bundled E-Roaming—will get complimentary roaming while on their pilgrimage. These plans include:
- Epik+ 50
- Epik+ Family
- Epik+ Family Safe
- Epik+ 35 (if subscribed for over 6 months)
- Epik+ 28 (if subscribed for over 6 months)
While the first three of the aforementioned plans do already come with E-Roaming included, Tune Talk will provide one month of free E-Roaming to those on Epik+ 35 and Epik+ 28 too in Saudi Arabia. Already effective this month, this free E-Roaming is only for eligible Tune Talk users with a valid MyKad.
As a quick reminder, E-Roaming, or Enhanced Roaming, is Tune Talk’s roam-like-home service, giving users high speed mobile data access across 13 different countries, including Saudi Arabia. There’s no special access passes needed for this either, nor is there a fair usage policy limiting your use—unless their partner telco abroad does—and perhaps the best part is that it uses your main data pool, so no need to keep track of your roaming usage abroad.

According to the telco, approximately 300,000 Malaysians head to Saudi Arabia yearly to perform the Umrah, with another 31,600 for the Hajj. By offering complimentary E-Roaming to its users, Malaysian Tune Talk users can expect to save approximately RM89 to RM180 on roaming services when in Saudi Arabia.
