The senior leadership of Persatuan Aeroangkasa Myaerosatu comprises of Chairman Professor Dr. Zulkifly Baharom, Deputy Chairman Dato' Mustiran Abdul Kadir, Secretary Dzul Bahrin Asmawi, Executive Committee Member Haji Zaini Rahmat & Auditor Adi Satria Ahmad (Dato' Bijayo), visited Turkish Aerospace Malaysia (TUSAS) Head Office in Cyberjaya and engaged in an interesting discussion with TUSAS CEO Mohd Shahiman Sulaiman, Director of Engineering Muzaffar Tajuddin, and Director of Corporate Services Raja Malek Feisal Raja Annuar. This is a follow-up interaction after Myaerosatu leaders met with TUSAS top management at a conference “Turkiye-Malaysia Cooperation in the Future Aviation Ecosystem”, which took place on 22nd April, 2026. This conference was held alongside the major Defense Services Asia (DSA) expo.

According to Director of Engineering Muzaffar Tajuddin, “TUSAS is anchored by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), this business venture has transitioned Malaysia from a simple buyer of foreign equipment into a regional aerospace design & engineering hub. TUSAS established its first engineering & design office in Southeast Asia at Cyberjaya, and the hub employs 130 local engineers & experts. They actively collaborate on global aviation projects, including unmanned serial vehicles (UAVs), jet trainers, and helicopter systems. In boosting the local economy and supply chain, the presence of TUSAS has acted as a catalyst for more than 50 domestic supply chain entities (Tier-1 Supplier Integration). TUSAS would like to strengthen relationship with Myaerosatu.” (www.tusas.my)

Malaysia has leveraged Turkish defense tech for critical defense upgrades, including a major US$100 million contract for three ANKA Medium-Altitude, Long-Endurance (MALE) UAVs for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).”
