TV turns off during Paraguay’s pivotal World Cup penalty shootout

Paraguay fans were left in disbelief after a bar’s TV subscription ran out during a crucial World Cup penalty shootout.

On Monday (29 June), Germany suffered a brutal defeat to Paraguay, ending the four-time world champions’ tournament in Boston.

Right before the winning kick from defender Jose Canale, a message warning that the subscription was about to expire appeared on screen, blocking the view of the goal.

As Canale delivered the knockout penalty, the TV then turned off, leaving fans shocked. However, moments later, the stream returned, and the bar erupted into huge celebrations.
