Kota Kinabalu: The Ministry of Human Resources hopes to lessen reliance on foreign labour through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes.
Encouraging collaboration between the State Government and institutions of higher learning that offer TVET programmes is among steps taken for Sabah.
“Sabah is unique in that there are foreign workers who are registered and unregistered. This is in fact one of Sabah’s challenges,” its Deputy Minister Datuk Mustapha Sakmud told a media conference during his visit to the Kolej Teknologi Yayasan Sabah (KTYS) Likas Campus, here, Saturday.
