
TAWAU: Two Isuzu D-Max four-wheel drive vehicles ended up crashing into a drain near Mile 7, Jalan Apas, after a collision at about 3.30pm, Wednesday.
Tawau District Police Chief, ACP Jasmin Hussin, said the accident happened when a man, 33, was driving his car from Tawau town to Balung.
Meanwhile, another man, 69, was from the direction of Mile 15 and headed towards Mile 8 of Jalan Apas.
According to Jasmin, the driver who was coming from the direction of Mile 15, made a sudden exit from the U-turn junction.

“As a result, both lost control and crashed into a large drain on the left shoulder of the road, facing the cemetery,” he said. However, he said both drivers escaped injuries.
Jasmin added that the police are still investigating the case according to Rule 3(2)(b) LN 166/59 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959.
