
TAWAU: Police arrested a foreigner for possession of a homemade shotgun (bakakuk) and live ammunition in Kalabakan Serudung Farm, Aug 26.
District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Husiin said the suspect was arrested around 7.30pm in a special operation by a police team.
“The team raided one of the worker’s houses in the farm and arrested the suspect who acted aggressively until a fight broke out when he tried to escape,” he said.
He said the police also arrested another foreigner who lived with the suspect believed to be a drug addict.

Read more The police confiscated a long machete, a homemade shotgun with two homemade air rifles as well a white plastic containing seven bullets of different brands.
Jasmin said the weapons were hidden in the suspect’s room along with two clear plastic packets of Syabu.
The suspects were taken to the District Police Headquarters (IPD) for further action.
The case is investigated under Section 37 of the Firearms Act (Heavier Penalty), Section 324/326 of the Penal Code and Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
