Kota Kinabalu: Two child offenders pleaded guilty at the Court for Children in Papar on Wednesday over a bullying case reported in September 2025.
The children appeared before Magistrate Zuraini Ali Musa, with the court fixing Oct 29 for re-mention pending their probation reports and releasing them on RM3,000 bail each without deposit.
One was charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code with causing injuries to two juniors, while the other was charged under Section 507B with harassing one of the juniors.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Kareena Kaur Gill Karamjit Singh appeared for the prosecution, while the children were unrepresented and counsel Nurshalilah Fauzan Mailin held a watching brief for one of the alleged victims.
The case relates to an alleged Sept 7, 2025 incident at a Papar school involving a Form Two student who reportedly claimed he was kicked in the stomach, slapped and punched in the nose by a senior, while another senior allegedly ordered him to iron clothes, with the State Education Department later confirming that a student involved had been suspended.
