SEMPORNA: Two undocumented men were detained while 2,800 litres of petrol were seized following the Ops Tiris 4.0 (Integrated) across the district.
The suspects were apprehended by the General Operations Force (GOF) Battalion 22 Kunak on August 14 before handed over to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Semporna.
KPDN in a statement said, a total of 76 jerry cans containing 1,900 litres of petrol were seized together with a wooden boat and an engine in the first case.
The seizures were estimated worth RM17,878 including the controlled items worth RM6,878.
While in the second case, the team seized 36 jerry cans containing 900 litres of petrol, a wooden boat and an engine, all together worth RM14,258.
Both cases were investigated under Section 21 of the Control of Supply Act 1961 [Act 122].
