KOTA BELUD: Two men were injured after the Perodua Myvi they were in crashed into a roadside near Kampung Kelawat here on Saturday.

The victims aged 27 and 38 were sent to the Hospital for further treatment.

Kota Belud District Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief, Muhammad Syazwan Latun, said they received the emergency call at 10.04pm.

He said a team of eight officers and personnel were deployed to the scene some 12km away on a fire engine and Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) utility vehicle.

“Firemen administered first aid before handing them over to the health workers,” he said.

According to him, the two victims were sent to the Kota Belud Hospital on an ambulance.

“Inspections on the crash site as well as on the vehicle was carried out to prevent other mishaps.

“The cause of the incident is still under investigation,” he said.
