
The Delhi Police have apprehended two juveniles for allegedly stabbing a factory owner in Shahdara’s Gandhi Nagar area over a monetary dispute, officials said on Monday.
According to the police, the incident occurred on May 21 in the Dharampura area of Gandhi Nagar. A PCR call reporting a stabbing was received at Gandhi Nagar police station, after which police teams rushed to the spot. During the preliminary probe, the police found that the two juveniles had reached the complainant’s factory around 12.30 pm, where an argument broke out over money. The dispute soon escalated, and the accused allegedly attacked the factory owner with a sharp object before fleeing. The injured man was taken to Jag Parvesh Hospital by his wife shortly after the attack. She also informed the police. Based on the victim’s statement, police registered an FIR under relevant sections of the BNS relating to attempt to murder and began an investigation.
The police said teams analysed technical evidence and gathered local intelligence, which indicated that the accused had fled to Haridwar, Uttarakhand. A team later reached there and carried apprehended the juveniles. — TNS
