LAHAD DATU: Two people were killed while four others injured after the Toyota Fortuner they were travelling in skidded and plunged into a ravine at Jalan Silam, here, on Monday.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre received a distress call at 6.20pm via the MERS 999.
A team of Fire and Rescue personnel with a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle from Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station were deployed to the scene.
Three women victims had already been taken to the hospital by the public before the firemen arrived, while two of three male victims were confirmed dead by Ministry of Health personnel.
The other man who sustained injuries was given initial treatment by the Fire and Rescue personnel before was sent to the hospital in an ambulance.
