LAHAD DATU: Two people, including a 12-year-old boy, died in a collision involving three motorcycles along KM90 of the Lahad Datu-Tungku road late Friday night.

The incident occurred around 11.30pm when two motorcycles travelling from Embara Budi towards Cenderawasih were struck by a third coming from the opposite direction.

District police chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said the victims included a 12-year-old Indonesian boy riding a Yamaha and a 19-year-old man on a Honda, both of whom died at the scene.

Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and urge witnesses to contact Insp Humaidi Harun at 089-881255 or report to Lahad Datu Police Headquarters.
