MALAYSIAN’S street dance scene will send two representatives to the regional stage in Singapore on April 25 after the Red Bull Dance Your Style Asia Tour stop in Kuala Lumpur named its local wildcards.

Lim Yeow Hwee, also known as Marcus, 26, and Kayllash Thiagarajan, 19, were selected to represent the country at the finals.

The Singapore finals will see the Malaysian duo compete against dancers from across Southeast Asia, including Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Timor-Leste, Vietnam and Singapore.

The Kuala Lumpur stop highlights the exchange between traditional and modern street dance forms, positioning Malaysia’s scene within a broader global context.
