
Two men have died following an industrial accident at a farm on Cann Lane in Aston by Budworth, Cheshire Police announced.
Emergency services attended and found that two individuals had fallen into an industrial silage tank near Arley in Cheshire.
The men, aged 72 and 42, were rescued from the container, but despite the best efforts of responders, both were declared dead at the scene.
Police were alerted to the incident at around 12.20pm on Wednesday 26 August.
Next of kin have been informed, and an investigation is under way. The family has requested privacy at this time.
A silage tank is specially designed for storing agricultural waste. It can hold animal waste and other materials until it is used as fertiliser or disposed of.
