
Kota Kinabalu: Police are working to identify the charred remains of two victims in a Perodua Axia following a three-car pileup at a flyover near the Kota Kinabalu International Airport early Friday.
Police sources indicated at least one of them was believed to be a woman. Their identity cards and vehicles were destroyed by the 2.30am fire.
A Toyota Vigo and the Axia were headed towards Putatan when the Vigo was said to have rammed into a Perodua Viva, resulting in the crash.
The Fire and Rescue Department meanwhile stated the male Vigo and Viva drivers only sustained minor injuries.
