Two teenagers were killed and a driver was seriously injured after a motorcycle and car collided at Kampung Teluk Sareh in Kampung Gajah, Perak.
IPOH: Two teenagers were killed while another person was seriously injured after a motorcycle they were travelling on was involved in a collision with a car at Kampung Teluk Sareh in Kampung Gajah, about 50km from here, today.
The deceased were identified as Siti Qazrina Abdul Rahman, 19, and Adam Danial Abdul Rahman, 19. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
They were travelling on a Yamaha Y15 motorcycle.
The injured, Mohamad Nor Afifi Harun, 31, who was driving a Toyota Yaris, was found inside the vehicle but was not trapped.
He was taken to Seri Iskandar Hospital for treatment.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said a distress call was received at 4.29am, and a team of firefighters was dispatched 16 minutes later.
“We found the car in a drain while the two teenagers were also found in the drain,” he said in a statement.
