Two women in car injured by falling tree in Shah Alam

TWO women were injured after their vehicle was hit by a falling tree at an apartment in Persiaran Tun Arshad Ayub, Section 7, Shah Alam, this afternoon.

Assistant Director of the Operations and Firefighting Division of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, said his department received a call at 12.11 pm.

"The operations commander reported that a tree had fallen and hit a Mitsubishi Xpander, which left two victims trapped.

"A 39-year-old woman was injured in the head and face, while another 42-year-old woman was injured in the waist.

"Both victims were removed and sent to Shah Alam Hospital for further treatment," he said.

Earlier, the incident also went viral and was shared by social media users.

Based on the viral photo, there was a victim who appeared to be trapped in the vehicle and was being helped by members of the public. – February 16, 2026
