- This fight is scheduled just one day before Anthony Joshua's own warm-up contest against Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
- Mariusz Wach, 46, has a professional record of 39-13 and previously fought Wladimir Klitschko for a world title in 2012, but was recently knocked out by Moses Itauma in July 2024.
- Fury, who has been training in Thailand for several months, stated his excitement for the event and his focus on preparation for what he calls a "huge second half of the year."
