PETALING JAYA: Shuttler Ng Tze Yong beat the odds to reach the Commonwealth men’s singles final in Birmingham today.

The world No 42 Malaysian beats former world No 1 K. Srikanth 13-21, 21-19, 21-10 in the semi-finals.

He next faces Lakshya Sen, who overcame Singaporean shuttler Teh Jia Heng 21-10, 18-21, 21-16 in the other semi-final tie, to decide the gold medallist.
