U Mobile will stop offering its GoLife insurance service from 31 August 2026. If you’re already subscribed to a GoLife plan, your existing coverage will continue until your current policy expires. After that, you’ll need to renew your policy directly with Sun Life Malaysia if you wish to continue your coverage.
Developed in partnership with Sun Life Malaysia, GoLife provides coverage for death and permanent disability, with additional protection for certain infectious diseases.
Existing Policies Will Continue Until They Expire
The discontinuation only affects new subscriptions and renewals through U Mobile. Existing GoLife 5 and GoLife 10 subscribers will remain covered until the end of their current insured period.
For example, if your policy takes effect on 31 August 2026, your coverage will remain valid until 30 September 2026.
The table below shows the two GoLife plans currently available through U Mobile and the coverage they provide.
Coverage And Billing Support
From 1 September 2026, enquiries about GoLife coverage and policy renewals should be directed to Sun Life Malaysia. Billing-related enquiries can still be made through U Mobile. You can also cancel your GoLife plan through the MyUMobile app at any time, with your coverage remaining valid until the end of your current insured period.
Future Renewal Terms Still To Be Confirmed
If you’ve been managing your GoLife policy through the MyUMobile app, renewing your coverage will be a little different once your current policy expires. U Mobile has confirmed that future renewals will be handled directly by Sun Life Malaysia, though it has not said whether the renewal process, premiums or coverage will remain the same after the telco partnership ends.
