Udinese midfielder Jean Victor Makengo says Destiny Udogie hasn't been distracted by his Tottenham deal.

Udogie signed for Spurs this month before being loaned back to the Zebrette this season.

Makengo said: “From a tactical standpoint, I like playing on the right of a midfield three because I can cut inside on my more natural left foot. Having said that, I prefer playing on the other side for Udinese because I'm closer to [Destiny] Udogie.

"We have a special connection and we're always together off the pitch as well. Despite his transfer to Tottenham, he's staying calm. He knows where he wants to get to and will keep working hard to achieve his targets.

“On a personal level, I'm looking to score more goals. When I'm dribbling with the ball at my feet, I have to learn to get shots away and I'll try to do that starting in our next game and for the rest of the season."
