UFC announces full schedule for historic White House card

  • The UFC is scheduled to host an unprecedented fight card at the White House on 14 June, with the Octagon expected to be built on the South Lawn.
  • Named UFC Freedom 250, the event will celebrate 250 years of the United States and coincide with US president Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.
  • The fight week includes a press conference at the Lincoln Memorial on 12 June, a fan festival and ceremonial weigh-in on 13 June, with the fight card commencing at 1am BST (8pm ET) on Monday, 14 June.
  • The main event will feature lightweight champion Ilia Topuria against interim-title holder Justin Gaethje, while Alex Pereira will face Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight belt in the co-main event.
  • A bout between Josh Hokit and Derrick Lewis was added to the card last weekend after Trump, who attended UFC 327, asked why Lewis had not been given a fight at the White House.
