It looks like Dana White’s concerns are becoming reality ahead of UFC Freedom 250.
The UFC boss has never liked the idea of outdoor events, mainly because you can’t control what the weather’s going to do.
Still, he set those worries aside for a chance to stage a fight card at the White House, which was too unique to turn down.
The UFC Freedom 250 pre-fight press conference was originally set for Friday at 8:15 pm (ET).

Weather Causes Delay for UFC Freedom 250 Press Conference
Earlier in the day, the promotion had already hinted at a possible delay due to weather concerns.
“Update regarding this evening’s #UFCWhiteHouse Press Conference at the Lincoln Memorial,” the UFC posted on X. “Due to anticipated inclement weather in the area, we advise all attendees to arrive no earlier than 7:30 p.m.”
About two hours later, it was confirmed that the event was pushed back by 45 minutes.
“Due to inclement weather, #UFCWhiteHouse Press Conference has moved to 9:00pm ET,” a follow-up post read. “We advise all attendees to arrive no earlier than 8:30pm ET. Please check weather conditions before traveling.”
Fans take to social media to voice concerns
After the biggest card of the year faced a delay, there was a strong reaction from fans online.
The comment section quickly filled with worries that the event itself might not go ahead due to worsening weather conditions.
One fan posted, “PLEASE DON’T POSTPONE THE FIGHTS,” while another added, “Do it in the rain.”
A third predicted, “Event finna get canceled,” as others echoed similar doubts about whether the fight would happen as planned.
Someone else chimed in with: “This event is gonna be a disaster lmao.”
A sixth person pointed out: “Saturday is the only day it’s expected to be bright and sunny here this weekend, and you put the event on Sunday when it’s likely gonna storm.”
