Sean O’Malley has something bigger in mind than just a win when he steps into the cage on the White House lawn.
The former UFC bantamweight champion is scheduled to fight again on June 14 in Washington D.C., continuing his bid for another run at the title.
After stopping Song Yadong earlier this year to pick up his first win since 2024, O’Malley now needs to get past Aiemann Zahabi if he wants to make a strong case for a rematch with Petr Yan.
O’Malley is no stranger to elaborate KO setups, having previously attempted to mimic a basketball dribble into a fight-ending punch.
This time, he’s planning something similar for UFC White House, but it’ll be tailored around one of the most notable guests in attendance.
O’Malley has a finishing sequence planned for Donald Trump at UFC White House
In an interview with Simon Head for UFC.com, O’Malley discussed his intention to acknowledge U.S. President Donald Trump before attempting what he hopes will be a highlight-reel knockout.
“I want to create the most legendary KO picture of all time,” O’Malley said. “I just picture Trump standing there. Maybe video, because I do have a little sequence I’d like to end with.”
“I plan on hitting a little salute to Trump with the finishing sequence after I hurt Aiemann, and that’s the goal right now,” he added.
“So, I’m visualizing that, just absolutely insane knockouts. I’ve had a lot of crazy KO’s, and I think the best one is yet to come.”
The audience will include Trump along with various dignitaries and military personnel. Zahabi will be looking to disrupt O’Malley’s plans by causing an upset in front of them.
The Canadian joins several international fighters aiming to secure wins over American opponents in Washington D.C.
