SHAH ALAM – The British government says there is growing evidence that war crimes have been committed in Gaza, where Palestinians continue to suffer under the Israeli government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband said Britain could no longer stand by in the face of the suffering, while stressing that any final determination on whether war crimes had been committed would be a matter for the courts.
He also accused Israeli settlers of carrying out ethnic cleansing against Palestinians in the West Bank, saying the Israeli government had failed to prevent such actions.

In response, Britain will take action against Israeli settlements, including banning imports from settlements and imposing sanctions on individuals involved in settlement activities.
Miliband stressed that the measures were aimed at the Israeli government, not the Israeli people, while reaffirming Britain’s support for a two-state solution.
