Umno Top 5, supreme council meet to discuss GE15

KUALA LUMPUR - Several Umno leaders have started arriving at party headquarters here at Menara Dato Onn, World Trade Centre (WTC) to attend Umno Supreme Council meeting tonight.

Among them are Selangor Umno chief Tan Sri Noh Omar; Terengganu Umno chief Datuk Seri Ahmad Said and Perak Umno chief Datuk Saarani Mohamad.

Umno top 5 - party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and the three vice-presidents – Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob have been in a close door meeting since this afternoon.

The meetings are held to discuss on the 15th General Election (GE15).

On Sept 19, Ismail Sabri said a meeting with Umno top five will be held to discuss the date of GE15.

On Sept 16, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the party's supreme council meeting scheduled for Sept 17 was postponed to Sept 30.
