Azamat Murzakanov has intensified the build-up to his next UFC appearance with a strong message aimed at Paulo Costa.
The pair are set to meet on 11 April at UFC 327, an event headlined by Jiri Prochazka against Carlos Ulberg for the vacant light heavyweight title.
Murzakanov enters the Miami card as the sixth-ranked light heavyweight, unbeaten in 16 professional fights, and aware that a win could place him firmly in title contention.
Azamat Murzakanov sends blunt message to Paulo Costa and Brazilian fans

Murzakanov took to X on Monday to address Brazilian supporters directly, posting a message in Portuguese ahead of the clash.
“On April 11th, Paulo Costa will be dead. I will deliver justice for Brazil,” ‘The Professional’ wrote.
Despite Costa’s nationality, his relationship with Brazilian fans is strained. His past criticism of their behaviour affected his popularity, but this is not the only reason behind that situation.
In that context, sections of the Brazilian audience are likely to back Murzakanov, adding another layer to the contest.
Costa will be making his debut at light heavyweight after a win over Roman Kopylov in July 2025, following two consecutive defeats.
Azamat Murzakanov’s UFC run adds pressure to Paulo Costa test
Murzakanov’s UFC form presents a significant challenge heading into the fight.
The 36-year-old is riding a six-fight winning streak in the promotion, with five of those victories coming by KO or TKO.
His finishing ability has been a defining feature of his run, suggesting Costa faces a difficult match-up against one of the division’s most consistent performers.
Despite being a tough challenge, the fight also offers high rewards. Should Costa win, he would be able to make a quick rise to title contention.
