KUNAK: A former Kg Dasar Lama village chief here urged Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) to investigate the background of those picked to be community leaders.
“The person must have the trust of the people. It is critical that he or she has good background, and no criminal past found guilty by the court,” he said in reference to the Kunak Assemblywoman’s selection of a village official said to be without the majority support of villagers.
“It is even more unfortunate that the Gagasan Rakyat leader has appointed someone who has been convicted of extortion and impersonating a police officer.
